Hands-on education in the nature of fireJune 26 — A centerpiece feature for Globe West, North, South and Northwest on the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy. I interviewed cadets from each zone and got to go into a live training burn.

Woman seriously injured as fire sweeps through Swampscott houseJune 27 — Reported from Swampscott on the night of the fire, and wrote another story for Globe North about the firefighter who made the heroic rescue.
2 firefighters die, 12 hurt in blazeAug. 30, 2007 — Reported from Brigham and Women’s Hospital. The staff and correspondents who worked on this story received Boston Globe Impact Awards for our work reporting this story, one of the biggest of the year.
Fire ravages old Uxbridge millJuly 22, 2007 — Good access allowed me to give the Globe a full story here.
Feud turned deadly in N.H.May 13, 2007 — My first “page one” story in the Globe. I reported from Concord, N.H.

At Mangia, pizza heavenJan. 20 — I finally found a pizza parlor in the Boston area that reminds me of home. Well done.
Beyond the rock, some wine findsSept. 13, 2007 — Spent the day drinking in Plymouth. Massachusetts has 24 wineries that make everything from Merlot to fruity cranberry vino. The best part is that you can do this as a day trip and not spend $100 all day. A great way to spend a cool late summer day. This was the first newspaper story to feature a photograph I took.
Milford Daily News: Is restaurant locale cursed?Aug. 8, 2007 — By all indications, East Central Street in Franklin is a good place to open a restaurant. I think every town has “that spot” where restaurants just can’t seem to stick.

Spring synergy encourages group networkingMarch 1, 2006 — One of the major Student Government events we arranged was to bring different student groups together to talk, network and learn to work together.
Northeastern University International AffairsFeb. 12, 2006 — I designed the logo for the NU International Affairs Program using the school’s Futura and Scala fonts.
Oct. 12, 2004 — I received Northeastern’s first Husky Leadership Award in 2005 after putting on several events like this, ending Northeastern’s history of rioting after major events in Boston.
