Reggie Bush sprained his ankle tonight while playing in the McDonald’s NBA All-Star Celebrity Game.
Bush rolled the ankle going for a rebound on a fast-break. He was taken to the locker room where a trainer diagnosed him with a slight sprain. Thankfully he was not seriously hurt.
I’m not going to discuss Mark McGwire because my opinions is basically that “Big Mac” was a victim of circumstance and of the times. We forget so easily that he and Sammy Sosa set their records at a time when baseball was coming back from the brink following the 1994 strike. Steroids or not, McGwire [...]
Red Auerbach was one of the biggest contributors to professional basketball in history and what he did for the Boston Celtics has cemented his legacy in the hearts and minds of New Englanders.

These are the times when rivalries take a break and competition ceases as fans of the sport honor a talented player even if they would otherwise call him [...]
The New York Yankees are eliminated from playoff contention.
Alex Rodriguez went 0-3, batted 8th and averaged .071 for the series.
As much as I encourage positive thinking and discourage rallying the troops against something as opposed to cheering for our cause; as much as I wish the Red Sox were in the ALCS instead of the [...]
In New England, the Major League Baseball season ended yesterday with a Red Sox bittersweet, rain-shortened 9-0 victory over Baltimore.
The season started out well for Boston, which dominated the rival New York Yankees early on, only to be swept in a five-game series later in the summer. This caused the Sox to permanently slip out [...]
