Jackass 2 is the number one movie in America.
Not much else in the way of news today. Saddam was ejected from the courtroom during his trial. A report on CNN shows the Iraq war is making the terrorism threat worse. The Pope mea culpa’ed.
It’s all beginning to run together isn’t it? It’s starting to repeat.
Perhaps that would explain why…Jackass 2 is the number one movie in America.
There is one buzz ringing in the political world today.
Bill Clinton went on a tirade during a Fox News interview Friday. Clinton allegedly was told by Fox’s Chris Wallace that the interview would be about Mr. Clinton’s climate change policy. When the questions turned to terrorism and bin Laden, the former President became visibly angry and completely lost his trademark cool as he almost be seen thumping his chest proclaiming that he tried to have bin Laden killed and came closer than anyone else had or has since.
“And you’ve got that little smirk on your face and you think you’re so clever. But I had responsibility for trying to protect this country. I tried and I failed to get bin Laden. I regret it,” Clinton said
Not only did Wallace get Clinton to completely lose it, he got Clinton to admit he failed; he tried and he failed to kill bin Laden.
It was brilliant work, though possibly underhanded and disrespectful.
President Clinton didn’t lose his cool that much during his impeachment proceedings. He also did what liberals are doing best; (read: worst) he tried to blame the whole thing on the Republicans.
“(Conservatives) ridiculed me for trying. They had eight months to try. They did not try. I tried. So I tried and failed,” he said.
So many liberals are ridiculing President Bush for trying to do what he does–whatever that turns out to be. Yet, he rolls with the punches undeterred, and his base stands with him.
Clinton was the last great liberal, and he lost the composure that his constituents have come to know and appreciate. It was a bold and brash move by Wallace, but it worked and Clinton walked right into it.
Not so slick, Willy.
Bill Clinton lets Fox bully him and Jackass 2 is the number one movie in America.
What the hell is going on?

Got something to say?

Nice take on the Chris Wallace interview with Clinton.. I was just talking about this with a friend of mine this morning; so rare to ever see him lose his temper like that. His politics aside, no one can ever argue that Clinton wasn’t a great orator when he wanted to be. I know Wallace wasn’t upfront about the path he was going to take with the discussion, but Mr. Clinton should’ve been better prepared for it as Mr. Wallace does work for FoxNews, not CNN.
I was amazed, but not surprised, at Clinton losing his composure. It was bound to happen. I agree with Nadia’s comment that he “should have been better prepared.” He made enough points that did not need to be presented in an argumentative or defensive manner. In reviewing the video clip again on the internet, it boiled down to only one simple question that led to a flood of defensive statements and justifications by Clinton. I have seen interviews with former Presidents as far back as Nixon. I have never seen any of them in there post-Presidency come unglued like this. Referencing Richard Clarke’s book showed a weakness in his “armor”. It sounded like a plug for the book as well as a side step from really answering the question. The “buck stops” with Mr. Clinton not at the desk of Mr. Clarke.
What timing that commentary on Jackass 2 and the Clinton interview are mentioned together. Hmmm…… I’m not going to go there…..
real liberals would argue that clinton isn’t a true liberal, just the most liberal possible for a democrat in his position. we’ll discuss this at depth in the future, but there are things that he did as governor that scream conservative…i could go on, but im tired and it would get me angry for no particular reason
